Every website is HTML at its core. Here's how to transform any HTML into a real Android app.
What Makes an APK?
An Android APK is essentially a ZIP file containing:
- AndroidManifest.xml — App metadata (name, permissions, version)
- classes.dex — Compiled Java code
- resources.arsc — Compiled resources
- assets/ — Your HTML, CSS, JS, images
- META-INF/ — Signature files
How WebView Works
Android has a built-in browser called WebView. Our app wraps your HTML in a WebView, making it feel like a native app.
Pro Tip: Your HTML runs offline inside the APK. No internet needed after installation.
Step-by-Step Conversion
- Upload your HTML file (or paste URL)
- Choose a splash screen design
- Set app name, package, version
- Click Build — GitHub Actions compiles it
- Download the signed APK
What Gets Signed?
Our APKs use v1 + v2 + v3 signing — the same standard as Play Store apps. This means:
- ✅ Installs without warnings on Android
- ✅ Updates cleanly on top of old versions
- ✅ Users trust your app
Common Pitfalls
- Heavy JavaScript sites — May not work well in WebView
- CORS issues — Some sites block embedding
- Large assets — Keep APK under 50MB
